Fully funded PhD positions in Cog Neuroscience | Imaging of Brain Health Lab | Auburn University

The Imaging of Brain Health (IBH) Lab (https://ibh-lab.github.io/) at Auburn University is recruiting prospective PhD students to join the Cognitive and Behavioral Sciences program in the Department of Psychological Sciences in Fall 2027.

The IBH Lab studies how biological and environmental factors shape brain and mental health across the lifespan. Ongoing projects combine large-scale neuroimaging datasets with prospective data collection and advanced analytic methods to investigate brain development, adaptation, and resilience. The PI is also affiliated with the Auburn University Neuroimaging Center, which houses 3T and 7T MRI systems. Applicants with backgrounds in neuroscience, biomedical engineering, cognitive science, data science, or related disciplines are especially encouraged to apply. Prior research experience and coding skills are preferred but not required.

To apply, please submit an application to the CaBS PhD program (aub.ie/apply_cabs_program) by December 1, 2026. Interested applicants are also welcome to contact the PI directly at wei.zhang@auburn.edu with a CV and a brief description of their research interests.
