ok cool, I’ve joined the group. Happy to be a part of the gsoc26 community ![]()
Hi @armanalam03 @suresh.krishna , Greetings!!
I am a second year student with a very potential knowledge of LLMs, ML and DL. I would like to be the part of this project for upcoming GSoC’26. Could you guys help me out figuring how to start putting my suggestions and contributions up for the same?
I would also like to stay in touch with the mentors for this project so, how and where can we discuss further things?
Cheers!!
Please read the messages above and join the appropriate scicommons community that is linked above in the message from Armaan. @Chetan_Sahney
I am Mohd Saalim, a software developer and a data science student at Indian Institue of Technology, Madras. I have real world experience through multiple internships, where I developed or contributed in multiple sass products.
Working as a software developer and learning AI/ML in my college, I became very interested in the domain of AI engineering which combines the knowledge of the both worlds. I am making projects to learn AI engineering concepts like RAGs, FineTuning, Prompt Engineering, AI Personalization etc.
I am interested in SciCommons as it highly matches my tech stack and have a lot of things for me to explore and learn. I had sent the request @armanalam03 for GSOC26 community, please accept it
Looking forward, thanks
Done… I just accepted…
Hi @suresh.krishna

Looking forward to be part of this community.
Please read the messages above and join the appropriate scicommons community that is linked above in the message from Armaan. @Ryshab
I have already applied to join it
I have accepted it now.
@suresh.krishna , Hello sir, I joined scicomns channel and community 20 days back and worked on several issues listed out , and mentioned in channel and I raised pr for the same issue(only 1 for now) . Once you check it out pr and give me suggestions regarding pr, I can proceed with further issues. Can you check my pr in github . So that I can contribute more and be helpfull for the community.
Thank you
@Ayush_kumar_rai - if you are created a pr, and it has been more than 3-4 days, please mention it again in the Discussion section on the GSoC channel at the scicomms test site. Someone will get to it.
Hi @suresh.krishna and @armanalam03,
I have been following the discussion here and am very interested in contributing to SciCommons for GSoC 2026.
Based on the recent updates regarding the browser extension and the focus on adversarial testing for the test site, I would like to offer my support in identifying bugs and contributing to the Next.js frontend and AI-driven features. I have a strong background in full-stack development and machine learning, and I am eager to apply these skills to help refine the platform as it moves toward a public release.
I have already sent a request to join the GSOC 2026 community on the SciCommons test site. I look forward to discussing potential contributions and project alignment in that channel once my access is approved.
Best regards,
Poojit Luhar
Thank you. Welcome… I just approved your request.
Hi @suresh.krishna and @armanalam03,
I’ve been following the recent discussions around SciCommons, especially the work on the browser extension and the emphasis on adversarial testing for the test site. The direction the project is heading in is genuinely exciting, and I’d love to actively contribute as part of GSoC 2026 .
I primarily work in frontend and interactive web development, with hands-on experience in
HTML, CSS, Tailwind CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, and Next.js. I also enjoy building immersive user experiences using GSAP (ScrollTrigger), Locomotive Scroll, and Three.js, and I’ve worked extensively with Redux and Redux Toolkit for scalable state management.
Currently, I’m working as the Lead Frontend Developer on a Shark Tank Season 1 website, where I’ve been responsible for architecting the frontend, building high-performance UI components, and collaborating closely with designers and backend teams. Alongside this, I’ve been eager to step deeper into open-source development, and SciCommons feels like the perfect place to learn, contribute, and grow while building something meaningful.
I’m particularly interested in:
- Identifying and fixing UI/UX and functional bugs on the test site
- Contributing to the Next.js frontend
- Exploring and supporting AI-driven features from a frontend integration perspective
I’ve already sent a request to join the GSoC 2026 community on the SciCommons test site and would be excited to discuss potential contribution paths and project alignment once my access is approved.
Looking forward to learning from the community and contributing to SciCommons’ journey toward a public release.
Best regards,
Animesh Jantwal
I have accepted your request.
Good evening sir, I am working on SciCommons from 1 month and raised issues and one pr for now, I attached same message in discussion section and one sir talked to me regarding one topic on github and I solved that many days back but no response. So sir, as I am very serious about this project should I start raising pr on other issues which I stated in SciCommns channel or I should wait for some response?
Thank you
should I start raising pr on other issues - you should always be looking to do that.
@faisal_ansari and @armanalam03 will organize the discussion and discuss the prs with all those who raised them over the next few days.
Sure sir , I will work on that . Thank you for your guidance
Thanks @Ayush_kumar_rai for reaching out and for your valuable contributions. I am going through all the contributions right now and will reach out to you if there would be any changes on github.
Also, please check the reviews of Bugs and issues article under the GSOC 26 community on the website.
Yes sir, I am also very exited to contribute more and more. I will surely go through SciCommns channel
