GSOC 2026 Project #19 : ActiveVision: continued development of a data and model portal for the study of goal-directed vision

I completed my draft proposal , i am sending through the dm for the feedback
As this project have same building path with my current research academic project , i gave my full understanding of the pipeline and planning of future improvements in gsoc 2026

Hello everyone,

My name is Aleeza, and I am interested in contributing to the ActiveVision project for GSoC 2026.

I have experience in Python and machine learning, including working with TensorFlow, scikit-learn, NumPy, and Pandas. I have built projects such as a handwritten text classification model and a house price prediction model. I also have hands-on experience using Jupyter Notebook for experimentation and analysis, and I am comfortable working with GitHub for version control and collaboration.

I am currently learning PyTorch and exploring vision and multimodal AI models to align more closely with this project.

I have started reviewing the ActiveVision repositories and would appreciate guidance on beginner-friendly issues or areas where I can begin contributing.

Thank you!

At this point, we will again start strategizing and accepting contributions once we see who is around, whether intern(s) or volunteers, after the GSoC results are announced.

Thanks for the clarification!

I’ll keep going through the repositories and try to get a better understanding of how everything is structured. I’m also working on improving my PyTorch and vision-related skills so I can be better prepared.

Please let me know if there’s anything in particular I should focus on while getting started.

Looking forward to contributing
