Necessity of Slice-Timing Correction for Spectral DCM with HCP fMRI Data

Good afternoon DCM experts,

I am gearing up to run spectral dynamic causal modelling (DCM) with resting state fMRI data from the Human Connectome Project for Early Psychosis (HCP-EP). Since this dataset has high temporal resolution (TR = .8 sec), I followed the recommendation of the HCP developers to opt out of slice-timing correction during preprocessing.

While this did not pose an issue for other analyses on this project, I am concerned that slice-timing correction may be a non-negotiable preprocessing step for spectral DCM analyses. Since I am completely new to the world of HCP fMRI analysis, I was wondering if anyone may be able to weigh in regarding the necessity of slice-timing correction for implementing spectral DCM on this dataset.

If you need further details, I am happy to provide you with them.

Thank you in advance for your time and consideration on this matter.
