I am a post-bac with a double major in Psychology and Neuroscience from CU Boulder (May 2018). I currently work with Dr. Joseph Cheer at the University of Maryland School of Medicine and Dr. Jennifer Wenzel (alumni of the lab).
My current projects examine pro-social behavior in mice during a social distress task and active avoidance in rats. In both projects, I utilize pharmacological manipulations (i.p. an i.c., respectively) of the endocannabinoid system. I also employ fiber photometry in my rat work.
I plan to apply to Neuroscience Ph.D. programs this coming cycle (for admission in Fall 2021) and hope to attend SfN 2020. In the future, I plan to focus my research around elucidating the mechanisms which drive maladaptive reward-related behavior mood disorders.
