I’m an Assistant Professor at the University of Texas at Austin. My lab studies how the brain processes speech with ECoG, EEG, & computational methods. I received my PhD from UC Berkeley in Neuroscience, with a focus on auditory electrophysiology and optogenetics in the Laboratory of Dr. Shaowen Bao. My postdoc at UCSF in Dr. Edward Chang’s lab focused on understanding human speech perception and feature representations in the human auditory cortex using intracranial recordings.
In addition to my work on speech perception/production, I’m also interested in open science and software development for iEEG/EEG/ECoG.
