AFNI conversion warning

Greetings,

I’m trying to use AFNI’s 3dresample function with my task-rest_run-1_space-MNI152NLin2009cAsym_desc-preproc_bold.nii.gz. nifti files from frmiprep output and it gives me the following warning: AFNI converts NIFTI_datatype=4 (INT16) in file /gpfs/fs2/scratch/…/sub-1052_task-rest_run-1_space-MNI152NLin2009cAsym_desc-preproc_bold.nii.gz to FLOAT32.

Is this warning harmful or it should be fine?

This is fine, as long as you have the memory storage to accommodate. Without knowing the exact command you used, I can only guess that your command will involve interpolation of data. Thus, data in voxels will no longer be just integers, but floats, which is what the warning is saying.
