Any researcher like to mentor on creating tool to help neuroscientist working on brain disorders and diseases?

Hello there!

I used to work as web dev in startups, but not anymore. Graduated in 2017 as CS bachelor. I always liked research, hoping to do a PhD in neuroscience. I’m specifically interested in clinical neuroscience, specifically brain disorders and diseases. This is because my late mom had Parkinsonism (no tremors). While I have a lot of research question about the disease, diagnosis, medication, I won’t go into details. Other than that, I myself was diagnosed with OCD at 17 and ADHD at 29. Also suspect of ASD 1. Besides, suspect that my mom also had ADHD, thinking about the behavior. While I have ADHD, I’m not forgetful or disorganized as commonly portraited, actually the opposite, my academics were good. It may be due to co-morbidities.

Since I’m currently unemployed. I’m thinking of participating in Google Summer of Code next year. I looked up the past orgs and noticed INCF to neuroscience research, but looking at past project, it seems there are no projects related specifically to clinical neuroscience space. If anyone like to mentor me on a project on this area, it would be lovely. We could start things early before GSoc commence. I have an idea to make a web portal for clinical neuroscientists with lots of features to help researchers, the project does not have to be my idea, it can be any project on clinical neuroscience space.

I’m not sure whether anyone sees this, if you read this and know any researcher in INCF working on this space, please let them know about this post.

Thank you very much!
