Artifacts on Registered CEST Imaging due to FOV Differences with T1GD: Seeking Solutions

Hi, everyone.

I’ve been working with CEST imaging and attempted to register it to the T1GD (as a reference) using the skull-stripped mask of T1GD. However, I noticed artifacts appearing at the edges of the registered CEST imaging. I believe these artifacts are due to differences in the Field of View (FOV) between the CEST and T1GD images. Specifically, it appears that regions from the T1GD’s brain mask, which has a different FOV, may be contributing to these artifacts. I’ve tried addressing the issue using erosion and smoothing techniques, but the results weren’t satisfactory. Does anyone have suggestions on how to effectively remove these edge artifacts?

Many thanks,
