Averaging anatomical after processing sessions separately

Hi there,

Our MRI study consists of three consecutive weekly scans per subject, and due to the high number of BOLD scans per session, we want to process each session separately as they are completed using the -bids-filter-file flag. This will output separate anat folders for each session, but we are wondering if it possible to average the anat images at the end of the study, so we get a single anat image and transform to use for analysis?

Would we just need to run an “anatomical-only” fmriprep run to achieve this? Or would there be another way?

Thanks!
Hannah

Hi @hrswearingen

There is not out-of-the-box solution for it that wouldn’t involve additional interpolation you want to avoid.

Why not just do all the anatomical processing first and then pass that in as a precomputed derivative?
