BIDS validator naming error

Hello there!

I am trying to organize my dataset into BIDS format. I have run my data through the web build of the bids validator and keep getting a naming error for a few of my files.

I must be missing something but I’m not sure what. Any help would be much appreciated!

The file names that keep getting errors are:
dataset_description.json~
sub-200072_task-rest_bold.json~
sub-200072_task-apec_bold.json~

As a side note, there seems to be ‘~’ at the end of each of them - I have no idea why that is there and how to remove it.

Those are probably hidden files created by the particular editor you used to edit the files. See https://unix.stackexchange.com/questions/76189/what-does-the-tilde-mean-at-the-end-of-a-filename
