I am working on human MEG analysis and I am using AAL atlas and some machine learning after source reconstruction. Sometimes I want to use more functional labels like “primary motor cortex”, but they are not a part of AAL.
So I wonder, is there some more or less canonical way to get a correspondence between functional cortical areas (I specifically care about motor control-related ones) and AAL labes?
It does not have to be very precise, just some way to say that “primary motor cortex” roughly corresponds to a union of sources from this and this AAL labels, “premotor cortex” corresponds to the union of sources from this and that labels and so on.
