Custom MNIPediatricAsym

The MNIPediatricAsym template available in TemplateFlow offers the following age bins

  1. 4.5 - 18.5 y
  2. 4.5 - 8.5 y
  3. 7.0 - 11.0 y
  4. 7.5 - 13.5 y
  5. 10.0 - 14.0 y
  6. 13.0 - 18.5 y

Our study does not fit neatly into these groups. I am wondering if it’s possible to access the MNIPediatricAsym cohort, and create a new template using a custom list of participants?

Hi @Trevor_Day,

No this is not possible within templateflow. You would need to create your own template from a subset of pediatric data that suits your need.

You would have to get the data from the original source (the NIH MRI Study of Normal Brain Development). See the original paper here for the template creation: https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S1053811910010062?via%3Dihub (as found in the templateflow template_description.json). And for the data source: The NIH MRI study of normal brain development - PubMed.

Looks like the data is on NDA which currently is not working for downloading data: https://nda.nih.gov/edit_collection.html?id=1151
