Datalad save - commits are all the same date Apr 07, 2005

Hi All,

I’m using datalad 0.13.0 to save a dataset (cmd:$ datalad save -r -m “my message”) from the root of a bids folder.

I’ve noticed when I look in the git log at the commit and author dates, every entry in the log is the same “Thu Apr 7 22:13:21 2005 +0000”

I think this is when git was released so I’m assuming this is some kind of placeholder.

Does anyone else have this or do I have something configured improperly?

Ideally it should show the proper commit date.

Wait, I see that there is a config setting in .datalad/config --> fake-dates = true.
