Does XCP-D have to take the T1w output from fMRIPrep?

Could xcpd still process resting state data without the T1w file if my input is from fmriprep?

No, XCP-D requires processed anatomical data (either T1w or T2w) from fMRIPrep.

Do you know what exactly is xcpd using T1w and T2w for ? i thought coming out from the fmriprep, the fmri should already all be registered?

They’re primarily used for figures, as well as to calculate rough QC measures of coregistration and normalization quality.
