Fetal DWI data - FODs and tractography

Dear all,

I am working with dHCP - 4th release, fetal and neonatal DWI. Neonatal data come with two preprocessing pipelines. When using the SHARD-based preprocessing, I have observed some unusual tracts that do not appear in data processed with the EDDY pipeline.

The figure shows an example of deterministic tractography using the corpus callosum as a seed region in a neonatal subject. This behavior appears to be independent of the spherical deconvolution method, as I have tested both CSD and GRL with different implementation strategies. Similar patterns are also present in both neonatal and fetal data. I was wondering whether anyone has encountered something similar or could have some suggestions to share.

Thank you very much for your help.
