fMRIPrep: different steps for task and resting state fMRI?

Hello,

I would like to pre-process my task fMRI data with fMRIPrep. The pipeline seems to run fine with functional files named e.g. “sub-01_task-stroop_bold.nii” and without the events.tsv file, so I guess that the latter is not needed from fMRIPrep, and that the pre-processing pipeline is the same for resting state and task fMRI. Can someone kindly confirm this please?

Yes, preprocessing is the same for task and resting state fMRI and does not use events files.
