I was wondering where heudiconv finds the information that it pulls into the participants.tsv file and if I wanted to modify the participants.tsv file, how I would do that using heudiconv, or if I have to do it manually.

The information is extracted from the DICOM headers, and it’s the same information entered in the scanner console. If for some reason the information is not correct, I would manually modify the resulting participants.tsv after conversion.
