Interpreting mindboggle tables

Hi again, Arno,

thank you again for the continued support of your great tool. I was hoping to better understand two of the table outputs from mindboggle, namely, label_shapes and sulcus_shapes. Is it correct that the measures are non-overlapping? For instance, if I wanted to estimate total area, could I sum the areas from all the brain regions in label_shapes and all the sulci in sulcus_shapes?

Many thanks!
Ted

Thank you, Ted! Actually, label_shapes and sulcus_shapes are not mutually exclusive. Labels cover the brain cortical surface, and sulci are bounded by the depth and curvature of the cortical folds, so the sulcal folds should account for a fraction of the labeled surface.

Ahh, understood! Thank you once again, Arno!
