Invitation to participate a brief survey regarding resources at NeuroJSON.io

Dear colleagues,

I have been browsing this forum for some time, but this is my first time posting. Happy to make acquaintance to everyone here!

I have met and spoken to some of you before - either via online communications or at conferences - we have an NIH funded project named NeuroJSON (https://neurojson.org). The goal is to build a scalable, searchable platform for efficiently sharing human-readable/reusable imaging datasets. We use NoSQL database at the backend to store, index and query metadata from public datasets, and use JSON as the underlying data storage format for reinforce reusability.

So far, the project had developed a suite of tools to incorporate our JSON-encoded datasets/databases in various programming environments. We have also created a web-based data portal - https://neurojson.io, to facilitate further dissemination of public datasets, especially make the metadata searchable and broadly accessible via REST-APIs. At this time, the portal contains searchable data resources from 21 databases (i.e. collections), over 1,500 datasets covering 58,000 subjects (among other data types). of course, a major portion of these came from OpenNeuro’s public datasets.

In the past, we have largely focused on the fNIRS research community, due to the relevance of my other research. I would like to reach out to the broader neuroimaging communities, and would like to grow our platform and allocate resources to facilitate broader research endeavor.

As a first step of reaching out to this community, I would like to invite you to participate a brief survey so we can understand the general needs and challenges that we can potentially help. To submit your feedback, please browse the below link

I look forward to hearing your thoughts, suggestions, and build new collaborations to grow our platform towards broader needs.
