I am trying to convert LGI output files from FreeSurfer (?h.pial_lgi) to surface so that I can convert the surface to a volume using FreeSurfer’s mri_surf2vol. My goal is to plot the LGI as a volume, overlaid with the T1.
I’m able to use mri_surf2vol to convert FreeSurfer vertex-based metric files like ?h.thickness, ?h.area, and ?h.volume to a volume (nii.gz) file, and plot them overlaid with the T1 using nilearn’s view_img function. This works great! Unfortunately, the LGI file is formatted differently and it not recognized by mri_surf2vol, so I need a different method.
