Dear experts,
Does anyone have a reference for the preferred slice order in multi echo acquisitions? We have descending (non-interleaved) by default, and I do see datasets around that have ascending interleaved. I would like to have some reasoning / backup for future choices.
Many thanks in advance,
Jan-Bernard
Nothing is coming to mind that specifically justifies one slice ordering vs another for multi echo acquisitions. My sense is that other acquisition decisions would more directly drive this decision. Put another way, if you’ve optimized a parameter set and you’d collect interleaved/sequential slices without multi-echo, it probably makes sense to do the same with multi-echo.
