Dear fellow Neurostars users,
does someone have any assessment or experience with this:
-
Are there standard procedures / sequences to test coils? I have a QA running, but that is more for checking the coil over time by comparing it to itself. The only other thing I know is looking at each individual channel of a T1 measurement.
-
In general, the coils are not specifically adjusted to the scanner before they leave Erlangen, right? So we can use a new coil equally well for a Cima.X or Prisma Scanner, right?
-
Do you happen to know what is done during coil calibration when it is delivered [I heard there is such a thing]? Is a special file with channel weightings for maximum homogeneity or something like that created?
-
Do you have experience regarding how important the warranty is? Personally, I’ve never had a coil break, so I would assume that coils usually don’t fail in the first year. But it would be interesting how often colleagues have had or heard about problems with head coils.
Thank you and best wishes,
Marco
