Question about session label/usage

Hello,

I have two sessions in my study–one session that includes imaging data and a neuropsych session that includes only behavioral data. I first formatted the imaging data I’ve collected so far following the BIDS specification and made a session folder (ses-imaging) for each subject. When I got around to converting the neuropsych behavioral data to BIDS format, I realized I wouldn’t be able to do so and satisfy the BIDS specifications because I didn’t collect onset times for the trials in that behavioral data (it wasn’t necessary for my purposes). So, now I will only have the imaging session in my BIDS dataset. Is it still acceptable to have a session directory for the imaging session I have, when it will be the only session in the BIDS dataset? I hope this makes sense.

Thanks for your help!
M

Hi M,

I think that’s totally fine. It will still be BIDS compatible.

Taylor

Hi @mbp,

Adding to @tsalo’s comment, you can still include the behavioral data in your BIDs dataset by naming the behavioral files as _beh.tsv instead of _events.tsv.

James

Okay, thank you so much!
