I want to register color coded dti on an swi image, however i get a DTI 128 is not supported error.
How can i solve this issue?

In general, it is usually easier to register something to DWI, rather than the inverse, because you do not have to deal with rotating the DWI b-matrix. But, if you absolutely need to register a DWI derivative, such as a color-FA map as you are dealing with, you might have better luck first registering the DWI image to the other space, and recalculating the color-FA map after fixing the b-matrix.
Without knowing what your command was, it is hard to know further how to address your specific bug.
