Seeking Research Assistant Opportunity:

:brain: Seeking Research Assistant Opportunity | NYC/NJ Area

Hello NeuroStars community,

I’m an Associate Trauma Therapist with a strong background in clinical practice, somatic healing, and research coordination, currently preparing to apply for PhD programs in Clinical Psychology with a neuroscience focus.

My research interests include:

  • Trauma and the brain (neurobiology of PTSD, dissociation, and resilience)
  • Somatic healing and embodied neuroscience
  • Near-Death Experiences (NDEs) and altered states of consciousness
  • Cultural and epigenetic perspectives on trauma recovery

I am seeking a Research Assistant or Lab Coordinator opportunity in the NYC/NJ area where I can contribute to ongoing projects while deepening my skills in:

  • Clinical neuroscience methods (EEG, fMRI, psychophysiology)
  • Data collection and analysis (SPSS, R, Python basics)
  • Manuscript preparation and dissemination
  • Working with trauma-exposed, clinical, or diverse cultural populations

With my clinical experience in trauma-focused therapy and community-based healing, I bring a strong translational perspective: connecting neuroscience with lived experience. I am eager to support ongoing research and collaborate with investigators bridging clinical psychology, neuroscience, and consciousness studies.
