Spinal Cord Toolbox (SCT) - New release v5.2.0

Hello everyone,

I wanted to let you know that the NeuroPoly lab has released version 5.2 of SCT, our comprehensive open-source neuroimaging software application to process & analyze spinal cord MRI data.

This release is a minor feature update over v5.1.0. Here are a few notable changes included in this release…

New features and enhancements:

  • sct_deepseg: New segmentation model: GM and WM for exvivo DWI data (thanks to the University of Queensland).
  • sct_image,sct_straighten_spinalcord: Check qform and sforms match first.

Partial summary of bugs fixed:

  • Fixed header datatype mismatch bug which caused landmark matching to fail during registration.
  • Fixed bug which caused inaccurate Size[vox] calculation in ‘-method map’ and ‘-method ml’ in sct_extract_metric.
  • Fix recently-introduced faulty slice index comparison.
  • sct_register_to_template: Enforce UINT8 when resampling labels for register to template.

You can check out the full change log for a more detailed list of changes, including link to the related pull requests.
