Student Interest: AI/RAG Agents & C++ Optimization for 2026

Hi everyone,

I know I am early (before the official project list), but I wanted to introduce myself to potential mentors for the 2026 cycle.

I am a developer with a unique mix of skills:

AI/RAG: I have built multi-format RAG agents and finetuned LLMs (similar to the KnowledgeSpace agent project from last year).
C++ / Performance: I am a competitive programmer interested in optimizing simulation backends (like Brian or NWB).

I am looking for projects where I can apply these skills. If any mentors are currently drafting proposals involving LLM Agents or C++ Performance, I would love to connect early and study your codebase.
