Why won't fMRIprep run fieldmap-less susceptibility distortion correction?

fMRIprep has an experimental fieldmap-less susceptibility distortion correction, described here.

My understanding is that to run it, I don’t have to add any additional parameters–I just input data that is missing the fmap folder.

However, susceptibility distortion correction is not run. Why? I have looked through the log and see no comments about why or why not.

Hi @Isabel_Wilson,

You need the --use-syn-sdc flag.

And note that other alternatives, such as SynBOLD-DisCo, tend to do better then it.
