Does incorporating plasticity into the Wilson Cowan Model have any biological implication? If so, what would be the best way to do this computationally? Can one use a BCM-like rule to vary the weights, including the recurrent weights?
Yes, you can incorporate synaptic plasticity in WC model. BCM rule is one choice, as it takes into account the rates, and thus modeling it is not computationally expensive.
