I’m trying to put my behavioral files into bids format (same directory as anat, func, dwi…) but I’ve never worked with behavioral files before and not sure how to rename these. In the BIDS specification section I’m not seeing anything on how to rename files that end with .edat?
Anybody worked with behavioral files before that would know how to reformat this to be BIDS valid?
Without knowing what information these file contains it is hard to specifically define the file names. However, .edat3 is not a BIDS valid file format. See more here: Behavioral experiments (with no neural recordings) - Brain Imaging Data Structure 1.10.0.

It’s been a long time since I’ve used E-Prime, but you can export E-Prime files to a spreadsheet-like format with one of the programs in E-Prime (E-Converter maybe?). From there you can reformat it to follow BIDS convention.
