Thanks for clarifying that the EES, and readout time are not necessary for distortion correction.

Yes they are. But they are not relevant for the estimation of the fieldmap (in other words, you care about those parameters on the target (distorted) EPI images you want to correct - but you don’t care about these two particular parameters when processing your fieldmap information, i.e., your phase1/2 or phasediff files).
