We are excited to announce dcm2bids 3.3.1!

This release brings several improvements to make DICOM-to-BIDS conversion more robust, flexible, and easier to maintain.

:sparkles: Highlights

  • Automatic update of participants.tsv file.

  • Dynamic BIDS schema: automatic entity extraction and validation now leverage the BIDS schema dynamically.

  • More flexible DICOM criteria. Criteria can now match based on the absence of DICOM tags.

  • Better validation & diagnostics, improved configuration validation and clearer reporting of skipped DICOM images from dcm2niix.

  • Modernized & more robust distribution, updated packaging with pyproject.toml, refreshed dependencies/Docker image, and improved CI, testing, and Windows support.
