Siemens Prisma 3.0T Software Upgrade from VE11 to XA30

Summary of what happened:

Hello everyone, our MR imaging center recently underwent the upgrade from Siemens VE11 to XA30. Many of the labs that use the scanner (Prisma 3.0T) use CMRR sequences. During the upgrade, we lost an option that allowed us to reduce TR and TEs to the measurements we were previously using.

Namely, the unavailability of GRE as an option for Resolution → Acceleration → Reference scan mode seems to be where most of our issue is coming from. Our current options are Single-shot, Segmented, and FLEET.

We have installed the necessary SD05 patch per this GitHub discussion thread. I can also confirm that we have the latest R017 release (pre11) for XA30 installed. Certificates and sequences included (U of M:CMRR:Downloads:Multi-Band Accelerated EPI Pulse Sequences).

Has anyone else had this issue and fixed it? I apologize for the lack of details. The proprietary nature of this closed software makes it hard to troubleshoot on ones’ own, especially with a system as sensitive (and expensive) as this.

Not sure what happened, but we are now able to see GRE as an option for Reference Scan Mode. The caveat is that it is only visible when editing the protocol card during the examination of a registered patient. GRE is still not visible in when editing in the dot cockpit. We want to work towards a solution that would allow us to see and apply it in the dot cockpit, to avoid the manual changes each scan.
