@neurolabusc I will go through it ,Thank you
Hey folks!
Iām Manit, a student at Computer Science undergrad student at BITS Goa.
Iāve been interested in neuroscience for a while, and this seems to be the perfect opportunity to make a neuroscience pivot .
Iām very interested in the āSerialization and deserialization for Brian simulator modelsā (idea 6) project.
@d.goodman @mstimberg could you guys please point me to some good first issues to familiarise myself and get started.
Hi everyone,
I have experience with React, JavaScript, and some data visualization. Iām excited about Idea #33 on building visualizations for biological entities and would love to contribute to this project. Should I reach out to the mentors directly, or is there a preferred way to get started?
hi @asoplata ,@ Nicholas Tolley,@ Dylan S. Daniels
this side dikshant jha ,I am a machine learning enthusiasts and would like to contribute in the project 21 and 22 of HNN-CORE ;which demands to develop an api to achieve the following funtionality .I have a good experience in python and other machine learning frameworks .It would be great if we can discuss regarding this and can you provide me some references of neuroscience data analysis in order to become comfortable with them .
Hello EveryOne,
My name is Ali, I have taken courses in React and JavaScript as well as Spring Boot,
I think I can contribute to Idea #33 on building visualizations for biological entities and would be happy to know where to get started
Hey Everyone!
I am Prathamesh Devadiga, an undergrad based out of PES University, Bangalore. I have been following the INCF organizationās work and also had submitted a proposal last year. I am super passionate about Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Generative AI (RAG/LLMs/Diffusion Models/Agentic Systems) and have worked in this space for over 2 years. I also run an AI Lab and a Consultancy firm : https://aadhara-ai-labs.vercel.app/
I am looking forward to contribute to the project āBuilding an AI Agent for KnowledgeSpace using RAGā and would love to propose some ideas on how to approach to solve this problem!
Is there any mail id where I could perhaps share my plan-of-action? @visakh @GSoCmentors?
Questions on My Mind:
-
Why are we switching to GitHub Actions? (Iām curious and really wanted to know to make sure I understand the motto).
-
Which tool should we use for automated documentation? Also, what does āmaking releasesā mean? Is it about versioning documentation like 1.9, 1.20, etc.? ( I will do some research on this to choose the options available )
-
What else can I add to this flow to follow best practices? ( Need help from your end as well along with that I will brainstorm for improvements.
Hi @Alberto @Keerthi_Reddy_Kambha,
Iām Sampreeth, a pre-final year undergraduate student in Computer Science and Engineering. I came across the HarmonyHub project and found it incredibly exciting as it aligns perfectly with my research interests in generative AI and music generation.
I have hands-on experience in machine learning (ML) and deep learning (DL) and have published a paper in Springer on these topics. I have also collaborated with Intel on a project that leveraged advanced deep learning techniques. Currently, I am researching music generation and experimenting with different generative models such as VAEs and GANs to create adaptive and dynamic musical compositions.
From a technical standpoint, I am proficient in Python and JavaScript, with experience integrating APIs in real-world applications. I have also worked with Angular and Ionic, making me familiar with the tech stack used in HarmonyHub. Additionally, I have won three hackathons, where I successfully built and integrated APIs into functional projects, demonstrating my ability to develop scalable and innovative solutions.
I am eager to contribute to this project by integrating generative AI into music education, enhancing adaptive learning experiences, and building a user-friendly, code-free interface for educators. I look forward to learning more about the project and collaborating with the team!
Interest in GestureCap ā GSoC 2025 (Project 24)
Hello everyone,
I am Harsh Gupta, a 3rd-year B.Tech student majoring in Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and AI. I am highly interested in working on the GestureCap project for GSoC 2025.
I have knowledge of computer vision and deep learning, including:
- Gesture-based classification using OpenCV and PCA.
- FaceMesh and Hand Mesh detection using MediaPipe.
- Real-time object detection using YOLO.
- Image analysis through deep learning for prediction of age and gender from X-rays.
I have gone through the details of the project and would be more than happy to contribute. Can I perform some microtasks or make an initial contribution in order to better prepare for my proposal?
Waiting to hear back from you!
Best regards,
Harsh Gupta
Please be patient; I believe there will be a project page opened here, like last year. Edit - I see that they have been/are being opened now.
Interest in āAI Agent for KnowledgeSpace using RAGā ā GSoC 2025
Hi @visakh_muraleedharan and @tom_gillespie,
Iām Sri Vaishnavi, a 3rd-year Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning student and a passionate open-source contributor, excited to be part of GSoC 2025 and contribute to impactful projects!
I have experience with Python, AI/ML, and NLP, and Iām currently exploring Neo4j, ElasticSearch, and GCP to deepen my understanding of search and deployment technologies.Iām passionate about developing AI-driven solutions that make information more accessible.
The āAI Agent for KnowledgeSpace using RAGā project for GSoC 2025 excites me because of its potential to revolutionize knowledge retrieval in neuroscience. The concept of using retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) to deliver precise and context-aware responses aligns perfectly with my interests, and Iām eager to contribute to its development.
I am eager to contribute to the project, focusing on metadata integration, vector-based search, and deploying models using Vertex AI. Iām excited to apply my skills and actively work on building impactful solutions.
Looking forward to your guidance and the opportunity to collaborate.
Best regards,
Sri Vaishnavi
Hi @Manit_Tanwar,
Please see my reply over here : GSoC 2025 Project Idea #6 Brian Simulator :: Serialization and deserialization for Brian simulator models (175 h) - #3 by mstimberg

Hello everyone,
Can anyone please tell whether I have to start contributing to a project in this organization, before submitting the application for GSoC 2025 .As I am new to GSoc,if anyone has information regarding this please do guide me.
Thank you,
Aastha Bhat
Hi Mentors,
Atharva here, final year AI undergrad from Mumbai, India. Interested in GSoc 25ā at INCF. My focus is Core ML, and GenAI (agents, knowledge graphs).
Iām exploring GSoC for the first time, I was wondering if Project 30: LinkML support for the Resource Information Network: unlocking LLM interrogation of a scientific resource and citation knowledge graph is available to contribution in GSoC2025.
I have been working on GraphRAG for the past few months in my internship, and I have been exploring various GraphDBs like Neo4j, ArangoDB, MemGraph and I believe this project is a perfect fit for my interests.
Thanks,
Atharva Nawadkar
Hi @mstimberg @Mathew_Abrams !
This is Muhammad Rebaal , a 3rd Year Undergraduate ,GDGoC Lead and an associate Software engineer and have some solid technical skills regarding ML and want to work on some amazing projects just found one :
20. Build an AI Agent for for KnowledgeSpace using RAG
But donāt know what is the evaluation criteria for gsoc or simply means which repository to contribute is not clearly written . Can you please guide me with that .
Thank You !
